How Do I Eat?
I’ve been getting lots of questions (mostly offline) about how I “eat” lately.
And what type of diet do I follow?
Here’s a very quick summary.
1.) I eat virtually no wheat, and drastically limit any grains. (Grains = Wheat, corn, rice, oats, barley, etc.)

2.) I limit my sugar intake (especially fructose.)

3.) I limit my carbs, and try and eat less than 100 grams a day. (Mainly from nuts, veggies, and fruits.)

4.) I balance my Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio.

5.) I keep my protein fairly high, at least 100 grams a day.

6.) I eat around 50% of my calories in fat, mainly saturated and monounsaturated fat.

7.) Not only do I balance my Omega 3 and Omega 6 ratio, I try to keep my Omega 6 intake low. (Less than 5% of my total calories a day.)
And that’s about it.
I believe if most people were to eat this way, we would be much healthier in general.
There’s a lot behind that “mix” above, and we’ll delve more into it later in future posts.
This is a fairly new blog, and isn’t getting much visitors yet, but if you stumble upon it, then leave a comment and tell me how *you* eat.
See ya next time!

Haha. I think you’re having way too much fun here. Get back to work!
Sean,
Thanks for all the support and sage advice you have given me.
My Boy and I both salute you, as we devour our “Hunter-Gatherer Plates” (his new favorite), after a 24 hr IF (for me.)
This is truly a MUCH better way to live <3<3<3
How do you balance the omegas? What do you try to make sure you have in your diet and what do you avoid? You don’t need to explain the whole primal diet (I was at the Seattle BBQ, it’s me Sofi!), but just explain how to best increase omega 3! Thanks!
I love your little pictures but your comments arrow points at nothing, your comments link is at the top of your posts!!! LOL!!
sure!! fix it and make my comment look like I’m hallucinating!! LOL
@Grok
Hahha, yea I probably should get back to work huh? But this blog is just so much fun
@kuno1chi
No problem
I’m glad you’re having a great time with your “back to basics” eating!
@Sofi
Hey hey! Welcome to the blog
One of the easiest ways to balance your omega 3 to omega 6 ratio is to simply cut down on omega 6 fats and take a fish oil supplement. That *should* take care of it. But I’ll be posting more detail in the future.
@Truth About Abs
Thanks for the heads up! You weren’t crazy, the comments *were* at the top, and I just fixed the code.
Hahaha! Great post. I need to work on balancing my o3:06
